Security Officer and Guard Program Management
Security Workplace Violence

  • Is your Security Guard Program, whether contract, proprietary or hybrid, as effective and efficient as it can and should be?
  • Is your security program cost effective?  Can you reduce Officer hours and maintain your level of protection and security?
  • Are you using your Security Officers to their full potential?
  • Are your Security Officers properly screened, trained, supervised and motivated?
  • How can you assure a high and consistent level of quality, service and responsiveness from your Security Guard provider?
  • How can you mitigate your liability risks arising from your Security Officers' acts or omissions?
  • Should you go contract, in-house or both?  Should you use local, regional or national security service providers?  What should you realistically be paying for the service?  What should the Security Officers be paid?  Should your Security Officers be armed?  What should you require of your provider?  How can you keep Security Guard turnover to a minimum?  How many Security Officers do you need?  How can you see through the promises of your security service bidders?
  • Have you gone through several security firms without satisfaction?

Security Officers, whether contract or proprietary (in-house), can be the most costly and problematic component of any security program.  They are, after all, both the human element and recurring expense portions of the program.  Security Officers can be the foundation of your security program and shining representatives of your organization and security program, or they can be an embarrassment and liability risk.  Your Security Officers can and should be a symbol of service, consistency, competency and professionalism in your organization, as they are often the first persons encountered by visitors and customers.

Your Security Officers should be a complementary component of a strategic and synergistic security system.  It is often possible to reduce the overall cost of a security program while maintaining or increasing the level of protection by expanding the range of the Security Officers with electronic tools (e.g. CCTV, electronic access control, alarm systems, etc.).

Combined, our Consultants have decades of experience as leaders in the security industry, as international clients and buyers of contract security services, and / or as managers of proprietary Security Officer Organizations, and most have at one time or another, testified in security-related lawsuits regarding the performance of Security Officers.

  • How Much Security is enough?
  •
  • Do your Security, Loss Prevention and/or Workplace Violence Prevention and Response Programs address your true Threats, Risks and Vulnerabilities?  Do they fit with your unique Culture, Values, Budgets and History?
  • Are you spending more on Security than you need to?  Is your Security Program a random blend of varying components, deployed over time or in response to particular incidents and issues?
  • Is your security program cost effective?
  • Where to begin?  How do you “Measure and Evaluate” your Security, Loss Prevention or Workplace Violence Prevention and Response Program?

A Comprehensive Security Vulnerability Assessment or Security Survey is the ideal First Step and can be a Powerful Countermeasure and Deterrent in itself - also called a Threat, Risks and Vulnerabilities Assessment (TRV Assessment)

Many firms and organizations have realized that it is worthwhile to periodically perform security surveys, risk assessments, and/or security vulnerability assessments of their entire organization; or a particular facility, department or process. This however, can become extremely timely process when conducted by the organization alone.

A Security Assessment or Survey through a SecurElite Professional Consultant can be performed in an objective, proactive, collaborative, comprehensive, and professional manner, so as to:

  • Determine if your security program properly and cost effectively addresses the real risks and threats of the organization
  • Increase awareness and appreciation of security and loss prevention by all
  • Establish a baseline and prioritized perspective on where the organization stands, and plan for where the organization should be
  • Elicit involvement, understanding and support of other departments and staff
  • Mitigate security-related liabilities
  • Assure that the security program is reasonably defensible in court
  • Often reduce security-related expenditures while maintaining or even increasing levels of protection, and...
  • Assure that every dollar the organization spends on security serves the organization's objectives and needs
